To say that Designer Jason Wu has been busy the past few days is an understatement. This past weekend he wed longtime partner Gustavo Rangel in Mexico, and on Tuesday the designer announced via his Instagram account his new label Grey Jason Wu billed as a sister label to his already successful Jason Wu brand.
“Introducing #GREYJasonWu, a new sister label I’ve created that has been under wraps for the last 12 months. Very excited to finally share it with everyone – more to come soon!” Said Wu, where he also gave fans the new Instagram account @greyjasonwu.

The collection will address “the needs of women who look for a beautiful, season-less wardrobe that is neither to edgy or sweet,” and will embody a “sense of relaxed sophistication with thoughtful details,” one caption reads. He’s planning a variety of collaborations, too, first with artist Hunt Slonem. Wu will translate Slonem’s famous bunnies into “printed chiffon, a multi-colored jacquard, and embroidery on knitwear.” Reports WWD The label emerged from “his desire to dress his friends” and is “inspired by their dynamic personal style,” he writes in another caption.
Grey Jason Wu will be more affordable then his primary collection with retails prices between $295-$1,395. The collection will be available at select retailers in June. www.jasonwustudio.com
