Moda Operandi Presents – ‘Fashion Firsts’

Moda Operandi LogoModa Operandi, the first online luxury retailer to provide consumers access to full designer collections directly from the runway, launches ‘Fashion Firsts’, a video series featuring industry icons reflecting on their inaugural experiences in fashion and the lasting impact these moments have had on their careers. It’s candid, funny, and includes anecdotes and video footage you won’t see anywhere else.

“Nothing in fashion is ever as thrilling, nerve-racking, exciting, or scary as your very first time,” says Lauren Santo Domingo, Moda Operandi Co-Founder. “For me, it was standing in for Nicole Kidman during a lighting test for Phyllis Posnick and Irving Penn as they shot the May 2004 Vogue cover. These are the moments that you learn most about yourself, and that shape you and your career.”

Produced by Moda Operandi Media Manager Bettina Santo Domingo, the series stars Naomi Campbell, Zac Posen, Andre Leon Talley, Diane von Furstenberg, and Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. “I do remember so clearly that first moment when you push those first doors,” recalls Diane von Furstenberg. “Some door you may think is important turns out not to be important, and some door you never even thought about, turns out to be your door.”
