This past week Todd Hoyles, Vice President and General Manager of Saks Fifth Avenue and Melissa Beste CEO of The Americas, Akris hosted a private cocktail reception at the Gagosian Gallery, in Beverly Hills which feature the A-K-R-I-S fall 2014 runway collection, inspired by the work of German photographer Thomas Ruff’.

The 29-piece collection which featured Ruff’s interplanetary images captured by NASA, moved through four distinct groups of prints –

The cassini Series (2008-2009), The Nights Series (1992-1996), The ma.r.s. series (2010,, Mars Reconnaissance Survey”) and ended with The Stars Series (1989-1992). www.saksfifthavenue.com
