B&O PLAY a division of Bang & Olufsen and Opening Ceremony announce a creative partnership which revolves around a limited edition of the iconic Form 2i headphones, that were originally launched in 1985 – and re-launched this year with an added microphone, remote and improved comfort design.
The Opening Ceremony-designed version of Form 2i is a cheeky and playful take on what can truly be classified as a design icon because of the place the headphones occupy at the permanent collection at MoMA in New York.
The headphones are also central in an eye-catching music video featuring up-and-coming hip house sensation Maluca, who discovers a whole new dimension to life in New York City when she puts on a pair of Form 2i. The video highlights how the whole city erupts into an animated color-explosion while featuring Maluca’s brand new single “Trigger”.
Another important element of the Opening Ceremony and B&O PLAY partnership are listening stations that will be placed in Opening Ceremony stores in both New York and London. The limited edition Form 2i headphones come in a variety of fun colors and retails for $129. For more info www.openingceremony.us
