
This season The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s renowned Costume Institute Benefit will be live streamed on Monday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m. on the Moda Operandi, Vogue, Samsung, and Metropolitan Museum websites. Hosted by Vogue’s William Norwich and model Hilary Rhoda, the broadcast will include interviews with the gala co-chairs including Rooney Mara, Lauren Santo Domingo, Riccardo Tisci, and Anna Wintour as well as celebrity interviews. Special pre-taped segments will be shown on the history of the benefit and on this year’s corresponding exhibition Punk: Chaos to Couture.

The hosts will ask attending celebrities additional questions chosen from submissions via Facebook and Twitter (#MetQuestions) prior to the streaming. Also, Norwich and Rhoda will give a behind the scenes perspective featuring celebs preparing for the gala on the official Celebs on Facebook page www.facebook.com/celebs.

The live stream will be available on www.metmuseum.org/metgala along with information about the exhibition including images, video, and curator commentary. Coverage will also be live streamed at www.modaoperandi.com www.samsung.com/galaxys4/punk and www.vogue.com In addition, Vogue.com will feature the first look inside the benefit, as well as a video of the musical performance to debut on May 10.

The streaming of the event is a collaboration between The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Moda Operandi, Vogue, and Samsung. The red carpet live stream is supported by Moda Operandi and Samsung, and produced by Vogue.
