Rough Roses – Affordable Luxury Bags

Rough Roses

Wynn Katz cofounder of Linea Pelle, brings his 25 years of luxury handbag experience to his brand Rough Roses, a line of luxury designed bags and accessories, with what he calls “affordable fashion luxury, that has cutting-edge fashion style with a total luxury look and feel.”

I will admit that when I was invited to the boutique on the West-side of Los Angeles, for a press preview I did have reservations for the idea of dealing with the traffic congestion was more than I wanted to contend with. Thankfully traffic was light, and upon arrival I was greeted by a large glass storefront facade filled with the most colorful and beautifully designed bags I’d seen this season.

My curiosity lead me to ask, why the line consisted of so much vivid color. Wynn Katz, “Color is important. It makes people happy and distinguishes them from others. Color give a woman a chance to express who she is. So even for Fall color is an important element of the Rough Roses collection.”

I admit I found myself agreeing with his color philosophy because while looking around the boutique, all I wanted to do was touch and peruse all the amazing handbags.

With bag styles priced from $190 for the Jewel Crossbody with Flap to $395 for the Sabrina Tote, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more stylishly designed handbag this season. The line also includes great wallet and belt accessories.

  1. Even though the Rough Roses Woven Leather Hobo Handbag (top) is from their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection, I still love it. I am in love with the thick woven handle and rustic gold gun metal details. One thing I can appreciate about Rough Roses bags are that each of them are handcrafted with soft genuine leather. You can tell that designer Wynn Katz carefully crafted and designed each bag to be chic, edgy and practical for the everyday woman.
