Rachel Roy will showcase her Fall/Winter 2013 collection via a digital platform to share an integrated experience with a wider audience. Today at 11am EST, the runway show will broadcast on Rachel Roy’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/RachelRoy A full social integration supports the debut of the collection with exclusive content on Instagram, Pinterest, VYou, and Twitter.
Rachel Roy said, “As a designer, it is my job to bring newness and doing a digital show allows me to tell the story of my Fall collection in a new way. Being able to share the show with people who love fashion and create a deeper experience is important to me. I love the total immersion that we are creating in the social community to give people different ways to engage in a curated experience with the brand.”
In addition to broadcasting the runway show Rachel Roy will be offering an exclusive look into the backstage and behind-the-scenes of a runway show. Viewers will be able to experience fully curated behind-the-scenes experience across Rachel Roy’s social channels: how to get the hair, make-up and nails, as well as offering pre-show backstage access. The digital show’s inclusivity allows viewers to experience and interact with all the elements that go into bringing a fashion show to life. Beauty partners for Fall/Winter 2013 include: Bobbi Brown for Make-up, Ted Gibson for Hair and butter LONDON (Katie Hughes, Global Colour Ambassador) for Nails.
To complete the digital experience and Rachel Roy’s desire to deliver content in a new and innovative way, Rachel Roy produced a limited edition digital book. Upon opening the cover, the show will broadcast – with custom music by Rene Arsenault – for the “reader.” It is completely portable, so now one can watch it whenever and wherever. www.facebook.com/rachelroy
